Neighborhood Leadership Institute's Community Book Club has another thought-provoking installment for you. We'll be reading Black AF History: The Un-Whitewashed Story of America by Michael Harriot. This New York Times bestseller is a searingly smart and bitingly hilarious retelling of American history that corrects the record and showcases the perspectives and experiences of Black Americans.

Next week, the members of Neighborhood Leadership Cleveland Class 42 will celebrate their completion of this 16-week leadership training program. The graduation ceremony will take place at Cleveland City Hall. We look forward to welcoming in another 31 graduates into our alumni network of more than 1,500! Contact Tony if you would like to join in at the celebration on May 21st.

Congrats to the CMSD 8th grade students that will be moving on to the True2U Mentoring Program Summer Leadership Academy! This six-week, paid program is designed to help Cleveland 8th graders continue building on the self-discovery and growth they began in the True2U Mentoring Program at the beginning of this school year. Through interactive projects, and weekly leadership themes, students will strengthen decision-making, communication, and community engagement skills while preparing for success in high school and beyond.
