Red Triangle CLE We are a group of individuals with deep roots in the area united to build a leftist community space. We hope you will find this project worthy of your donation.

Among the many possibilities for the use of this planned space are;

-offices from which groups can conduct their activities and store their materials,
-class room space for talks, reading groups, and seminars
-a tool sharing library
- artists’ space, communal workshop space for construction and repair of items useful in community organizing and general household items
- a kitchen from which we

may share food
- an activity center in which a small fitness space may be housed
- a well organized lending library of political literature and archived periodicals
- a CSA stop for folks in the neighborhood, perhaps a Free Store
- and probably a dozen other worthwhile uses. We are fortunate to be founded in a neighborhood where commercial property is available at very reasonable prices especially when compared to real estate costs in other cities. We feel the time is right and the opportunity is here to establish an organizing space that will not be subject the whims of a landlord, owned by a non-profit LLC and administered by a council with rotating membership to ensure continued success in perpetuity. We are working class, anti-authoritarian, & feminist. We are anti-racist. We support both freedom to practice one’s religion/spirituality and as importantly the freedom from having religion forced upon us. We envision a world that supports reproductive freedom, the homeless, the disabled, the oldest and youngest members of society. We are q***r positive and intend to support our LGBTQIQ allies. We believe in dual power and the formation of this space is a step toward that goal.

✨Trans Day of Visibility is ALL about spotlighting the trans community and celebrating our joy and existence✨

One of our favorite traditions at Akron’s TDOV is honoring trans+ individuals who are making an impact right here in our city.

Impact doesn’t have to mean reaching all of Akron. Sometimes the most powerful work happens in small circles, whether that is creating safer spaces, supporting a friend, organizing behind the scenes, or speaking up when it matters. Big or small, if someone is igniting trans visibility, we want to know about them!

Recipients of the Akron Visibility Award will have the opportunity to speak at TDOV and will receive a small gift of gratitude from TJA 🎉👏

Please note: we will always confirm with nominees to ensure they are comfortable being honored publicly at our TDOV event.
