✨ Meet the 2026 NCWSA Board ✨

With tonight being the first official race of the season, there’s no better time to meet the 13 women who volunteer their time year round to make our Tuesdays on the water happen.

Scroll through to learn a bit about each board member including what boat they are on, their favorite boat snacks, what role they play on the boat, and what their day jobs are.

Make sure to say hi and introduce yourself if you see them around!

Ready to grow your trimming and racing knowledge? Join us for our educational series this summer for upwind, downwind, and around the course strategies.

These workshops are designed for intermediate racers and will take place both in person and online. RSVP is required noon the day prior so we can plan accordingly.

Looking to grow your sailing skills this summer? Hop into one of The Foundry’s 13-foot, two person racing boats to learn how to steer the boat, trim the sails, and use your body weight to keep the boat fast! Some prior experience is recommended. This is a physical and “hands on” series of classes with instruction on land and on water, by US Sailing certified small boat instructors. Participants will learn the parts of the boat, points of sail, knot tying, identifying wind direction, and more with the Cleveland skyline as the backdrop! Our experienced instructors focus on safety and fun, so that you leave the course confident on the water and eager to learn more.

The Foundry is offering two sessions of Adult Dinghy Classes this summer on Monday & Thursday evenings:
- Session 1: 6/29-7/16
- Session 2: 7/27-8/13

As part of NCWSA’s mission of expanding access to sailboat racing for women, we’re happy to have collaborated with the team at Cleveland Race Week to cover the costs for NCWSA members for their Women’s Regatta! Good gear helps a lot while out on the water! We compiled recommendations from NCWSA members on what gear they like best! Huge thanks to everyone who shared their favorites.

Memorial Day Weekend is also great time to stock up with big sales from faves like Helly Hansen.
