Over 200 smiles delivered! 🎒✨

Our Cleveland Police First District officers had an awesome time handing out more than 200 backpacks packed and ready for the school year to the great kids at R.G. Jones School—all thanks to the amazing support of the Cleveland Police Foundation!

Building strong, positive connections with our youth every single day is what it’s all about. 💙

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers and donors who make moments like this possible. We couldn’t do it without our Cleveland community! 👏

Huge congratulations to Zeina Meslat and Firas Haykal, owners of Boaz Cafe in Ohio City, for being named our June 2026 Community Partners of the Month! 👏
Not only do Zeina and Firas serve up amazing Mediterranean food, but they also go above and beyond to support our law enforcement family. For the second year in a row, they stepped up as key supporters of the Officer Down Softball Tournament at Brookside Park. Their generosity directly supports the families of fallen heroes, including Lorain P.D. Officer Phillip Wagner this year. 💙

Join us in giving a huge shoutout to P.O. Logan Weber, our June 2026 Police Officer of the Month! 👏🎉

Officer Weber is the definition of dedication. Whether he’s stepping up during tough calls or spending his weekends mentoring local youth at our Fishing with Cops events, he always puts Cleveland first. From teaching kids how to bait hooks and cast lines to helping cook up the catch of the day, Officer Weber makes sure every child leaves with a big smile, a full belly, and lasting memories. 🎣🐟

Nothing says "thank you" like a good old-fashioned backyard cookout! 🍔🌭🔥

This past Wednesday, I had the pleasure of joining Dave and Kathy Heigle for the Cleveland Police Second District 2nd Shift Officer Barbecue! Commander Tim Maffo-Judd hosted the event to show some well-deserved appreciation for all the hard work these officers put in every single day.

Shoutout to Master Chef Frank Costanzo for grilling up delicious hot dogs and hamburgers, and the Cleveland Police Foundation was proud to provide the sweet treats for dessert! 🍰

It was great spending quality time with our dedicated Heroes in Blue. Thank you all for your service—and please stay safe out there! 💙🙌

Great conversations and great coffee down in the Flats! ☕️🏙️

On July 31, Commander Mark Maguth hosted the Cleveland Police Third District Coffee with a Cop at The Foundry! It was awesome seeing so many neighbors, local business owners, and CPD officers coming together to grab a warm cup of coffee, ask questions, and just chat.

Summer is all about making memories, and July was packed with them! ☀️⚾🎣
Last month, the Cleveland Police Foundation hosted two incredible youth engagement events:

🎣 Fishing with Cops (July 14): We headed out to Blue Heron Preserve with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy! Kids spent the day fishing with officers, the Mounted Unit, the Motorcycle Unit, and our favorite therapy K-9, Apollo! Every participant took home a new rod, reel, and gear bag. 🎒🐟

⚾ West Denison Baseball Day (July 19): We partnered with the Lake Erie Crushers at ForeFront Stadium to host young players (ages 6–12) and their families! Kids got to play catch on the field, form the pre-game rally tunnel, run the bases, and grab autographs from the Crushers! 🧢🎟️

☀️ Hook, line, and sinker! Despite the stifling summer heat, we had an absolute blast at our second annual Cops & Kids fishing outing on July 14th! 🎣👮‍♂️🧒

Co-sponsored by our awesome friends at the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, we gathered at the beautiful Blue Heron Preserve. Our enthusiastic mini anglers wasted no time dunking worms into the ponds, eager to reel in some bass and bluegills!

But the fun didn’t stop at the water's edge. After a delicious box lunch, the kids got to hang out with some special guests:
🐴 The Mounted Unit horses
🏍️ The Motorcycle Unit
🐶 Apollo, our beloved CPD therapy K-9!

To top it all off, door prizes were awarded, and every single child went home with their very own fishing rod, tackle box, and a Cleveland PAL gift bag! 🎁

Seeing the massive smiles on everyone's faces made the heat totally worth it. A massive thank you to all the officers, kids, families, and amazing sponsors who make events like this possible.

We’re already counting down the days until next year! 🐟✨

Shining a spotlight on two incredible women making a huge difference in CLE! 💐✨

Meet Joan Carabello and Sandra Negron, our May 2026 Community Partners of the Month!

If you’ve attended any of the District Policing Award Ceremonies over the last few years, you've seen their stunning work. Since 2022, Joan and Sandra have been donating their time, incredible decorating talents, and personal resources to make sure our officers and neighborhood heroes get the elegant celebration they deserve.

Joan donates thousands of dollars' worth of beautiful linens, centerpieces, and gorgeous floral walls, while Sandra handles the intense event planning and hands-on setup to make sure everything runs flawlessly.

The most amazing part? They do all of this completely for free, simply out of love for their city and a desire to bring police and neighborhoods closer together.

True bravery, incredible calm, and a life-saving resolution. 🏅

We are incredibly honored to name Patrol Officer Abigail Pietri as our Police Officer of the Month! Officer Pietri recently received the Cleveland Division of Police Medal of Honor—the absolute highest commendation an officer can receive for bravery beyond the call of duty.

When a crisis unfolded at a local elementary school involving an armed suspect, Officer Pietri didn't hesitate. She stepped into harm's way, protected the students, and used her training to calmly talk the suspect down and safely secure the weapon without anyone getting hurt.

Her quick thinking and deep compassion saved lives that day and kept school staff and children safe. Thank you, Officer Pietri, for your amazing courage and service to Cleveland!
