A local entrepreneur is turning vacant lots into a sweet community success story.
Trey Williams spent the last six years building Hood Honey in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood. He reclaimed land once used for illegal dumping to create an apiary, vegetable garden, and wellness space. The farm sits on the exact property where his grandmother and stepfather once lived. This operation now serves as an incubator for Black-owned agricultural businesses and offers educational tours for local children.
