It turned out to be a great day to walk in the University Heights Memorial Day parade! We were thanked by folks who have received trees, found many more who want trees, and met a few who want to volunteer! Communities that plant trees together take root and grow together! Experienced tree stewards pair with first-time planters. Strangers become fast friends. And people get to walk in a park and look at trees that their hands put into the soil.

Have we mentioned that we LOVE LOVE LOVE our volunteer planting days?

Wanna see what we did? Take a walk through Cumberland Park and think about how amazing this will be to watch grow over the next ten, twenty, thirty years, as we get older, our kids and grandkids grow up, and the world changes (hopefully for the better).

We plant trees as an act of love. Of hope. Of belief that we can make the future better.
