Our response to the City's e-mail blast of July 18, 2025:

Friends of Cain Park is an all-volunteer, non-political organization of people who are interested in supporting the flourishing of Cain Park and its programming. We are a grassroots organization that consists of a diverse board of directors determined to work with the City of Cleveland Heights, Ohio - City Hall for the betterment of the park and those who use it.

We love and support Cain Park. For decades, our organization has benefited city residents and visitors who frequent the park.

Anyone who has appreciated the park’s native pollinator gardens and landscaping, the non-equity actors and local musical acts who we’ve funded to perform there, or artists who exhibit at the Arts Festival who are chosen by their peers for awards, and most recently a city little league softball and baseball team that we’ve sponsored have all been recipients of our fundraising initiatives. Pictured here are of the two 2025 teams we sponsored.

We do not discriminate on the basis of age, race, gender, political affiliation, or nationality when funding these projects. Any insinuation that we operate behind closed doors or in a non-equitable manner is false.

Friends of Cain Park will be stepping back from public-facing activities this concert season as we evaluate changes in our partnership with the City of Cleveland Heights, our membership program, and fundraising model. We will not be offering or selling memberships for the 2025 season. This planning period allows us to reflect and collaborate on how best to support Cain Park going forward. Thank you for your continued support—we remain committed to our mission and optimistic for renewed collaboration. Stay connected with us on Facebook, Instagram, and our website for updates.
