Rotary Club of Clayton Recap

What an inspiring program at Rotary this week!

We were honored to welcome Eric Vogelbacher, who shared his incredible journey from our Northeast Georgia community to adventures around the globe. Eric captivated us with stories of travel, perseverance, and his unforgettable climb to Mount Kilimanjaro, reaching Stella Point at 18,885 feet.

His presentation reminded us that great adventures begin with a single step and that determination, preparation, and a willingness to embrace challenges can take us to extraordinary heights.

Thank you, Eric, for sharing your experiences and inspiring us to dream bigger, explore farther, and never stop reaching for new horizons.

President’s Message
As we move into the heart of June, we are reminded that service is the foundation of strong communities.

This past week was a highlight for the Rotary Club of Clayton as we recognized members of our community who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to serving others. We also honored the first responders who sacrifice so much to keep our families, homes, and businesses safe. Their dedication reflects Rotary's motto, Service Above Self, and serves as an inspiration to all of us.

As we reflect on the anniversary of D-Day, we remember the courage and selflessness of those who stormed the beaches of Normandy in defense of freedom. Their legacy of service before self continues to inspire us today. We are grateful for all those—past and present—who dedicate themselves to something greater than themselves.
