We are excited to announce our participation in the Night Market at Refinery On The River !
Our first event will be next Friday from 6-9pm! This market will take place in the parking lot at 📍1037 S. Riverside Dr.

There will be:

Our sweet seniors Sasha and Nigel came back positive for Coccidia. Sasha is also positive for Giardia. These are both parasites found in the stool, likely from them being strays and feeding on what they had to to survive. They have both started treatment, and Sasha is scheduled for a dental cleaning.

When we took on what likely is 3 hospice cases, we knew the bills would add up quickly. We also have sweet hospice girl Faith ❤️.

All of these babies deserve the best life, and that’s what they will get.

Teddy appears to have an enlarged esophagus in addition to a collapsed trachea. Both of these things are manageable as long as Teddy’s quality of life isn’t affected.

Nigel received fluids and has perked up quite a bit. He is still a picky eater though, and we need to get some more weight on him before we can really address any sort of kidney friendly diet. Especially with him being choosy with what he wants to eat.

Sasha will be available for adoption soon ❤️‍🩹

Nora has become a sweet and confident lady! She seeks us out for pets and loves to do her little “happy hop” back into the house after going outside.

As you all know, in dog rescue, we go through lots of supplies. However, there are certain items we go through a lot quicker than others. Which do you think are our most used items?

A. Ointments, jammies & toys
B. P*e pads, joint supplements & belly bands
C. Wipes, bandages & soft treats
D. Blankets, towels & wet food

Nora the Nugget at your service 🖤

Nora has been the quietest of the bunch and also the most cautious. Sweet girl wants to trust, but you can tell she has a lot of trauma. Foster mom Jobie says that every now and then she’ll come over for pets, but likes very gentle and quick caresses. She likes to be a little separated and do her own thing, but is observant of everyone. Decompression can vary in time periods for every dog. All we can do is be patient, give them space, and make them feel safe & loved. 💞

🩵Tuesdays with Teddy 🩵

This teeny tiny bean is showing the world who’s boss! He is getting his bearings to use his back legs, and foster mom Jobie says his impression of an armadillo is spot on! 👏

One thing we have for sure learned about Teddy is that he thoroughly enjoys pup cups. Thoroughly. 😵‍💫 He may or may not have eaten some of the paper cup too. 👀

Our little whispy girl is starting to feel more comfortable. Foster mom Jobie said this was a little milestone for her because she usually chooses to sleep on the floor. She’s not all the way in the bed, but the edge will do just fine! We’ll take it! Baby steps. Always baby steps.
