One day, The Isaiah 58 Initiative will be a household name.

One day, we will be thriving. One day, we will be in a position to reach back and partner with the smaller and newer organizations that are trying to find their footing because I know firsthand what it feels like to be the new organization trying to get someone to believe in the vision.

One of the hardest parts of this journey has been rejection.

Rejection from potential partnerships.
Rejection from opportunities.
Rejection when simply asking for a chance to be seen, heard, and accepted.

But I’m learning that not everyone is meant to walk this journey with me and that’s okay. Sometimes rejection is necessary. Sometimes a closed door is protection, preparation, or simply redirection toward the people and places that are truly aligned with the mission.

And when our time comes, I never want to forget what these beginning stages felt like. I want The Isaiah 58 Initiative to be the organization that looks at a smaller nonprofit and says, “We see you. We believe in what you’re building. How can we help?”

For every “no,” God has still provided a “yes.” And I am incredibly grateful for the people, businesses, organizations, volunteers, donors, and community members who have shown up strong and mighty for us. You believed in our mission while we are yet still building, learning, growing, and finding our way. I will never take that for granted.

We may be small right now, but the vision is BIG.

One day, they will know our name. More importantly, they will know our IMPACT.

The Isaiah 58 Initiative is just getting started. 🙏🏾
