A lot of people have the wrong idea about Rotary.

I know I did before I joined in 2015.

Back then, I thought Rotary was mostly formal meetings, networking, and professionals gathering for lunch. What I discovered was something completely different.

I found good people. Real friendships. Meaningful conversations. Opportunities to serve others. And experiences that have made a lasting impact on both our community and my own life.

Our club meets every Wednesday at noon at Chili’s Restaurant, and over the years I’ve had the privilege of serving as club president four different times. Despite a busy schedule, Rotary has remained one of the most rewarding commitments I’ve ever made.

Rotary isn’t about being perfect. It isn’t about having endless free time. It’s about showing up, getting involved, and being willing to make a difference.

The truth is, we need more busy people willing to make a difference in our community. People who care enough to invest a little of their time, talents, and resources to help make Clarksville and Southern Indiana an even better place to live.

If you’ve ever wondered what Rotary is really about, I’d encourage you to join us for lunch one Wednesday and see for yourself.

In this month’s Rotary Magazine one of the many great articles is one that really hit home and was a real encouragement!

I encourage our members and any Rotarian who has access to the magazine to pick up this month’s issue and likewise be encouraged but also motivated!
