We are so happy to report this special boy has found a wonderful new home! We rescued Jerry in 2024 when he was taken to the emergency room with a urinary blockage. Upon learning that his condition was caused by stress from another cat, his owners felt they could not keep him. We were contacted and covered the additional medical expenses exceeding $3,000 at ER, eventually placing him in what we hoped would be his permanent home. Earlier this year, due to a family health crisis, his owners were going to have to move, and Jerry would require a new home once again. We decided he needed a perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery, a procedure used to treat life-threatening or recurrent urinary tract obstructions in male cats, while we worried about him moving to a new environment. We were concerned about stress in moving him. Jerry recovered well from the surgery. A woman with no other pets began visiting Jerry and fell in love with him. The transition to her home was much easier because they were already friends. He is relaxed and happy! Way to go Jerry!!!!
