So what does mentoring actually look like? 🤔

It's simple. You show up to your student's school once a week for one hour. You talk, play games, work on goals, or just hang out.

There's no lesson plan and no pressure to have all the answers.
Our PAL program matches you one-on-one with a student in Rogers County, and our staff supports you every step of the way.

One hour. One kid. One big difference.

🦸 6 of our Heroes are hiding around town... can you find them? Use the clues below to begin your search. 🦸

🦸 HERO HINTS 🦸

Queen Impact

This royal Hero has taken up residence at a downtown shop hiding amongst berries, gifts, and unique treasures. Once inside, look near the colorful spiral where round treasures make their journey down.

Mentor Max

This Hero can be found where people work together to help local businesses grow and our community thrive. Head toward the heart of downtown and start your search.

Pioneer

Fresh flowers brighten this downtown stop, but they aren't the only thing worth noticing. Take a moment to reflect, and you may spot a Hero.

Everyday Hero

Need a boost for your Hero Hunt? Stop by a downtown spot where fresh coffee is always brewing. This Hero is hiding in plain sight near where orders are placed and smiles are shared.

Harmony hero

This Hero followed a finch to a nest filled with colorful carryalls. Search carefully among the bags; you may find more than you expected.

Atlas

This explorer has traded mountain trails for wagging tails. You'll find Atlas at a place where furry friends are the real VIPs. Follow the paw prints and begin your search!

We are thrilled to share an exciting new project coming to Rogers State University! 🥏

Our TSET Impact Network Program at Volunteers for Youth is proud to sponsor and support RSU’s new disc golf course by funding the target baskets and additional course equipment.

This new course will create a fun, free, and accessible way for RSU students, faculty, families, and community members to get outside, be active, and enjoy time together. Disc golf is a great way to encourage movement, connection, and outdoor recreation and we are so excited to help bring this opportunity to life in Rogers County!

A huge thank you to Rogers State University for their partnership and for continuing to invest in projects that support campus life, community wellness, and healthy places to live, learn, and play.

We can’t wait to see students and community members out on the course soon! 👏

🧡 10 students are waiting for a mentor -- could that be you?
We have 10 young people at Claremore and Inola schools -- 1st through 9th grade, 6 boys and 4 girls -- who are ready and waiting to be matched with a mentor this fall.

The commitment is simple: one hour a week at their school. We handle everything, including a simple 3-hour training this summer so you're ready to go when school starts in August.

These kids just need a consistent, caring adult in their corner.
