Sommer's Rescue Transport

11/10/2026

We made it, on time!!!🚂

It was a Grrreat transport. NO 💩, some throw up, but these beautiful babies were cuddled up sleeping and giving me kisses.

A beautiful sunrise, no wind until we got to Bloomington and then we were rockin and rollin!

This is what we do at 4:45 in the morning. Save lives, by helping rescues save lives.

Sweet Princess Peach was the Itty bitty beautiful beagle from Hopeless Hounds. Peaches new mom ran up to the van when I pulled in to Anderson, asking do you have Peach? I hadn't even turned off the van yet, and watching her face when she saw her, brought me to tears.

I miss seeing that 😊

So Thank You

This month it's Sommer's Rescue Transport 7th full year anniversary of existence. I started SRT September of 2019. Once everything was legally filed and my 501(c) 3 was up and running, Van purchased and outfitted, we ran our 1st Transport to Colorado in Nov 2019.

From Nov 2019 to Sept 2026 we have saved 2763 pups, who found homes in Colorado, Wyoming and Illinois. I have been either driving with a co-driver or driving alone on ALL 125 transports.

In August 2021 at 6:15 am outside of Limon, Co we were rear ended by a person who fell asleep and was driving estimated at 95 mph. The van rolled twice and thankfully we were not seriously hurt and had no dogs on board as we were headed home. So we started again, rebuilt the rescue with the help of my followers, friends and family.

So we are blessed to start our 8th year in the transport world.

Please enjoy some of our photos of our growth and know,
I say a prayer for each of you every night for your kindness and support!

Today was a beautiful day, lightning in the distance north of Tulsa, quite the show as I'm headed to Joplin. Perfectly mannered crew today, gave me a calm quiet ride. A couple of throw ups, I few 💩's and the sweetest puppy kisses and Quincy and Robert, aka Rob, aka Robbie they both handled all this early morning craziness like a pro.

Thank you for all your help in loading these babies and most importantly saving them.
