Alex Latorre brings a lifetime of soccer experience to Claremore as the new head coach of Hillcat Women’s Soccer. ⚽️

Latorre joins RSU after leading Emmanuel University to its first region championship and first opportunity to host a conference quarterfinal in 2025. His coaching career has also included stops at Auburn University at Montgomery, UAB, York University, Southwestern Oklahoma State and Oklahoma Christian.

Before coaching, Latorre was a standout at Oklahoma Christian, helping lead the Eagles to the NAIA National Quarterfinals in 2001 before going on to play professionally with the Kansas City Attack and Minnesota Thunder.

Born in Brazil and raised in the game here in the United States, Latorre now begins the next chapter of a career that has taken him from player to coach and across nearly every level of the sport.

RSUTV sat down with Coach Latorre to talk about his journey, taking over the Hillcat program and what he wants to build at Rogers State.

A new chapter is taking shape at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum.

RSUTV was there as the museum broke ground on a new 20,000-square-foot, three-story facility designed to expand collection storage, research space, offices and event space while preserving the legacy of one of Oklahoma’s most enduring voices.

The project also includes major updates to the historic museum, with completion expected in spring 2028.

Before Baker Hughes, this Claremore site had wings.

Local historian Mark Ogle stops by to tell us another story about what was once in Claremore, Oklahoma. This time, we’re going back to the days when the property we now know as the Baker Hughes campus was Will Rogers Airport, a place tied to Will Rogers, Wiley Post, Harold Gatty, and an incredible chapter of Oklahoma aviation history.

There’s a lot more buried in the history of the Heartland than most of us realize.
