🎉 Congratulations, Tristian! 📚💪

We are all so proud of you! This is what happens when we’re intentional about student outcomes and in families.

Your growth reminds us why it’s so important to intervene early and consistently for our students. Every score, every milestone, every moment matters.

Now it’s time for all of us supporters, volunteers, and community partners to rise together. Let’s keep building the momentum for literacy and equity across Cincinnati! 💜💛

🔊Cincinnati Has a Budget Crisis and a Reading Crisis!!

Thank you to the Enquirer - Cincinnati and Kentucky for publishing the recent op‑ed written by We Excel Cincinnati Executive Director Terana Boyd addressing a painful reality families have been living with for years. Too many students in Cincinnati Schools are receiving passing grades while still reading far below grade level.

🚨The lack of transparency has consequences. When students move through the system without foundational reading skills, the district faces higher remediation costs, increased behavioral needs, and declining enrollment all of which contribute to today’s budget crisis.

The academic crisis and the financial crisis are not separate. They are connected!

If you believe our children deserve better, connect with us. Leave a comment and join us at the next Board meeting to stay informed.

🔥 We did it, We Excel!!

Today we officially wrapped our Read to Rise pilot at our incredible community partner Fathers Uplift and the results speak for themselves.

Our students made significant gains, with many growing 20+ points on i‑Ready and advancing not one, but TWO grade levels in reading. This is what happens when parents lead, partners believe, and a community refuses to settle.

To our partners and sponsors thank you for ensuring families had the support, stability, and resources to stay committed.
To our Read to Rise staff your excellence shows in every data point and every child’s confidence.
To our Parent Ambassadors your flexibility, leadership, and willingness to fill the gaps made this possible.
And to our parents thank you for showing up, advocating, and getting your children the intervention they deserve.

This is what rising together looks like.
✨ We Excel. We Rise. Cincinnati is just getting started.
