This show of wearables will incorporate mixed metals and organic materials, all available for you to adopt for adornment.

We are halfway through our Material Play Sessions for 2026! 🤩 
Material Play is our FREE workshop series for all ages and skill levels, where we learn new creative skills and mediums from local artists and organizations while exploring themes of personal growth, resilience and community, all with upcycled materials from Indigo Hippo!♻️

Our June Session featured transformative screen printed poster making with Cryptogram and Julia Lipovsky !

For May, we created upcycled fabric bucket hats at Elementz , led by local fashion designer Khalil Jackson Designer Trapper

And our very first session in April was at The Well , exploring poetry and collage with Julie Klear Essakalli !

Our third session of Material Play is a week from today!

Join us next Monday from 4-6pm for a dynamic poster workshop with local artists and at their joint studio, General Store!

We’ll be transforming found materials like maps, calendars, wallpaper samples and artwork prints to create something entirely new by layering new imagery through screen printing and drawing mediums.
