Aruna is a Hindi word meaning 'bright morning sun.' The Aruna Project is working to end commercial sexual exploitation by bringing freedom and restoration to the many women and children sold into the trade. We do this through raising awareness and funds by mobilizing thousands across the US in Aruna Runs to Run for Their Freedom. In South Asia, through partnerships in red light areas, we help brin
g freedom to those at the mercy of injustice, then employ each woman in our freedom business subsidiary, Somerset Exports. Products produced through the freedom business are distributed through the Aruna Project at each Aruna Run, on our eCommerce platform and future expansion into retail.
