Christmas is coming, and we’re inviting our friends, families, and community partners to help make the season a little brighter for the children of Cincinnati Urban Promise!

This year, you can sponsor a CUP student for Christmas by selecting a child from our Christmas Gift Sign-Up. ❤️

For the privacy of our students, children are identified by a unique ID number rather than by name.

🦁🐘 Welcome to the zoo… designed by our Leaders of Promise! 🦒🐒
Our after school students put their imaginations to work by designing their very own zoos! Students had to think creatively about what their zoo would include, draw out their ideas, and then present their creations to their friends.
Activities like this may look like fun—and they are!—but they’re also building important skills. Students practiced planning, creativity, communication, public speaking, and confidence as they explained their ideas to the group.
At Leaders of Promise, we want kids to know that their ideas matter and their voices deserve to be heard. Giving students opportunities to create something of their own and proudly share it with others is one more way we're helping them grow into confident young leaders. 💙

🍀 4-H SPIN Clubs are officially underway at Leaders of Promise! 🍀
Our after school students are jumping into their new 4-H SPIN Clubs, giving them the chance to explore new interests, build practical skills, and discover talents they may not have known they had!
🌟 Ms. Tori is leading our Leadership Club, helping students strengthen their confidence, teamwork, communication, and ability to lead others.
🎨Mr. Hinton is working with students in Art Club, giving them opportunities to explore shape, color, and perspective.
🧵 Ms. Niah is leading our Sewing Club, where students are learning hands-on skills while practicing patience, creativity, and problem-solving.
We love that 4-H SPIN Clubs—Special Interest Clubs—allow young people to dig deeper into something that interests them while building relationships with caring adults and developing skills they can carry with them far beyond after school.
At Leaders of Promise, we want kids to have opportunities to try new things, find what they love, and discover all the ways they can lead! 💙

🎨 Creativity + Community = Leaders of Promise! 💙
Our Leaders of Promise After School students had a blast designing and creating their very own squishies! From choosing their ideas to making something they could proudly call their own, this activity was all about creativity, self-expression, and—of course—FUN.
But some of the best learning happens in moments just like these. As students created together, they practiced sharing materials, helping one another, problem-solving, patience, and encouraging their friends along the way.
At Leaders of Promise, after school is more than a place to spend the afternoon. It’s a place for kids to create, explore, build friendships, discover new interests, and grow as leaders—sometimes with a squishy in hand! 😊

This is a unique, full-time position that combines building and grounds maintenance with hands-on urban agriculture. One day might include completing repairs or tackling a property improvement project, while another might have you working alongside our Agriculture Director preparing garden beds, building growing spaces, composting, harvesting, or helping maintain our urban farm.
💵 $20–$25/hour

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, takes initiative, can work independently, knows their way around basic hand and power tools, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
