BajaEd: breaking the cycle of poverty through education. This puts basic education out of reach for many families.

We know that the key to breaking the cycle of poverty is education. Here in the US, we are fortunate to have access to a free educational system that is within everyone’s reach. However, in Mexico, attending even elementary school includes costs such as mandatory school fees, school supplies, and uniforms, without which a student cannot enter school. In response to this need, Baja Ed works to bene

fit students from elementary school to university. We identify children with potential and motivation, and support them in their studies. If you are interested in sponsoring a child’s education, costs for tuition, uniforms, school supplies and transportation are as follows:

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: $240 per semester or $480 per school year

SECONDARY SCHOOL: $300 per semester or $600 per school year

HIGH SCHOOL: $375 per semester or $750 per school year

UNIVERSITY: $1150 per semester or $2300 per school year

Updates with Students ✏️📔📒

One of our favorite parts of the year is visiting our scholars! 💙

We love catching up with them, hearing about their experiences at school, and learning more about their families and daily lives. Every visit gives us the chance to celebrate their achievements, listen to their stories, and see how they are growing.

These visits also allow us to connect with their families and spend time in their homes, strengthening the relationships that make our community so special. And sometimes, we even get to meet—and play with—their adorable pets! 🐾

We are always grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to stay connected with each of our scholars.

Equip a Student for Success!

Buying school supplies is a challenge for many of our students. Some are forced to leave school because they cannot afford the supplies and expenses associated with their education. Every year, our donors help students in our community prepare for the upcoming school year.

In 2026, our goal is to equip 400 students. What do we need? Almost any type of school supplies, especially backpacks and notebooks. As you can see, we have created an Amazon wish list featuring items we recommend to our donors.

Would you like to support a student? This is one of the best ways to help. Students are grateful to receive supplies free of charge that would otherwise cost them a significant amount of money to purchase.

Our "Hands That Transform" program is one of the best ways to support education in Maneadero, Mexico. Through this program, we have built classrooms, improved community parks, and renovated students' homes. Our students deserve an education, but they also deserve safe and welcoming spaces where they can learn, play, and grow.
