We are incredibly proud of our Chico students who participated in Territorial Encore 2026! 🎶

Our students did an amazing job using their God-given talents to worship and glorify Him through music. We are excited to share that every one of our participants earned either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in their respective categories—an incredible accomplishment!

Beyond the awards, we are especially grateful for the time we spent together as the family of God. Throughout the weekend, we worshipped, encouraged one another, and created lasting memories while praising the Lord with the talents He has given us.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for and supported our group. Most of all, we give God all the glory for a wonderful and memorable Territorial Encore 2026! 🙌

Today We Celebrate Christina! 💕

Today marks Christina’s last day as an employee with The Salvation Army, and while we are sad to see her leave this role, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the incredible impact she has made.

Christina, your kindness, dedication, and genuine love for people have touched countless lives. Through your faithful service, you have helped strengthen our community, encouraged those in need, and brought joy and hope to so many. Your servant heart and commitment to God’s work have left a lasting mark on this ministry.

Thank you for the countless ways you have served, led, and cared for others. Your compassion, generosity, and positive spirit have been a blessing to our volunteers and community. The impact of your work will continue to be felt for years to come.

While we say goodbye to you as a staff member, we are excited to welcome you back again as a member of our Advisory Board. We are grateful that your wisdom, passion, and support will continue to be part of The Salvation Army’s mission in Chico.

As you begin this new chapter, we pray that God will continue to bless and guide you, filling your future with joy, purpose, and peace.

A huge thank you to The Salvation Army Chico for dropping off these incredibly cool (and delicious!) cookies as a thank-you for sponsoring the recent Chico Color Fun Run & 5K! 🎨🏃‍♀️

We were so proud to be a part of this amazing event and see everyone come out to support such a vital cause. The color and the energy were absolutely contagious! Together, our community raised an amazing $40.1K to support the vital causes and programs run by The Salvation Army!

It was a privilege to help make this event happen and we are already looking forward to next year.

💈✂️ Calling all salons, stylists, and barbershops! 👟

Were bringing back our Kicks & Kuts program for our Back-to-School outreach this year, and we’re looking for amazing local stylists and barbers willing to say “yes” to redeeming a few haircut vouchers so kids in our community can receive a free haircut before school starts.

We shifted from our traditional backpack outreach because we saw backpacks becoming a duplicated resource. Instead, we recognized a growing need in Butte County for a fresh cut and new kicks... helping kids walk into school feeling confident and cared for.

As a thank you, participating salons and barbershops will receive social media shout outs and recognition for supporting local families! Even saying yes to a few vouchers can make a big impact!

We had a special time celebrating all of our graduates — middle school, high school, and college graduates — during Ohana Sunday yesterday! 🎓

Women’s Retreat 2026 — Chico & Chico ARP were in the house! Despite some mobility challenges for a few of our ladies, we had a wonderful time worshipping, fellowshipping, and growing together in the Lord.

We are so grateful for all of our ladies, and especially thankful for Ashley and Linda for their faithful service. We praise God for their faithfulness, dedication, and commitment to the Lord and the Chico Corps.

As temperatures begin to rise, many families in the North Valley struggle to stay safe and comfortable without adequate cooling. Through June 6, Ace Hardware of Chico (231 W. East Ave) is partnering with us for their annual Fan Drive, helping provide box fans to neighbors in need so they can beat the summer heat. ☀️

Customers can simply round up their purchase, with all funds staying local to purchase fans. Last year, customers in Chico donated $1,200 in change, enough to provide 70 box fans for our local families!!
