LINK is excited to welcome a new Partner to our network in 2026: Williams College

Located in northwestern Massachusetts, Williams is a private liberal arts college and is regularly ranked the nation’s top liberal arts institution. The school offers 36 majors to just over 2,000 undergraduates with 45% of the Class of 2026 identifying as students of color. Committed to affordability, Williams pioneered an “all-grant” financial aid model in the U.S.; today, more than half of its students receive financial support from the college.

This partnership means LINK Scholars will benefit from application fee waivers, financial aid packages that cover 100% of demonstrated need through graduation, and exclusive sessions about Williams’ fall fly-in program, Windows on Williams. We’re thrilled to deepen this relationship and create another meaningful opportunity for LINK Scholars!

For returning LINK mentor Nick Johansson, mentorship is about showing up for the moments that matter.

During his time as a mentor, Nick has celebrated a mentee’s high school graduation and supported another as he completed his freshman year at IIT, strengthened his résumé and secured his first job.

These milestones are meaningful reminders that mentorship does not always require a grand gesture. Sometimes, offering advice, encouragement or a helping hand can make a lasting difference in a young person’s life.

On Thursday, June 18, we gathered at Zhou B Art Center for an unforgettable evening celebrating the accomplishments, growth, and bright futures of our Class of 2026 Senior Scholars.

This remarkable cohort of 46 Scholars has shown what is possible through integrity, resilience, accountability, drive, selflessness, and intellectual curiosity. Collectively, the Class of 2026 has earned more than $20 million in scholarships and grants, including three POSSE Scholars and one Jordan Wings Scholar.

The evening was filled with pride, joy, and powerful reminders of what makes the LINK community so special. Addison Sloss and Cory Dean, Class of 2027 Scholars, did an incredible job serving as Scholar Hosts. Steven Hunter, LINK Class of 1998, delivered an inspiring keynote on possibility, perseverance, purpose, and the power of community.

We are deeply grateful to Old National Bank for sponsoring this year’s Scholar Celebration and to Jordan Wings for helping make the evening even more special for our Scholars.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. You have embraced our “Be You x 10” mantra, and we could not be more proud of all you have accomplished!

Congratulations to Israel “Izzy” Easley, a graduating senior at St. Rita High School and future Tennessee State University

As Izzy prepares for this next chapter, he is thinking intentionally about his future, the areas where he wants to grow, and the strengths he will carry with him into college. Through his capstone project, he explored what it means to plan ahead, make thoughtful decisions, and prepare for the independence and responsibility that college will bring.

Izzy is also looking forward to getting involved on campus, building community, and stepping into leadership opportunities along the way.

We are proud to celebrate Izzy’s hard work, reflection, and ambition as he gets ready for all that is ahead.

School may be on break, but mentorship doesn't take the summer off.

Some of the most meaningful mentor-Scholar moments happen outside the classroom such as sharing a meal, exploring a new place, attending a community event, or simply spending time together.

These experiences strengthen relationships, build confidence, and remind Scholars they have someone who believes in them.

This is your reminder to reach out, make a plan, and enjoy time together. It doesn't have to be elaborate, it just has to be intentional!

Every dream begins with the courage to take the first step.

Meet Skylar Woods, a freshman at Chicago Academy for the Arts whose passion for musical theater is matched by her commitment to personal growth. Between dance rehearsals, voice lessons, acting classes, and audition preparation, she's working hard to turn her goals into reality.

When asked what she's gained most along the way, Skylar didn't talk about performances or accomplishments, she talked about confidence.

Once someone who described herself as shy, Skylar is learning to speak up, connect with others, and use her voice with confidence.

At LINK Unlimited Scholars, we believe every Scholar deserves opportunities to grow not only academically, but personally. Stories like Skylar's remind us that confidence, connection, and encouragement can open doors to a future full of possibility.

💙 What's one piece of encouragement or advice that helped you believe in yourself?
Share it in the comments, you never know who might need to hear it today!
