🚀 Launching the Relationship: The HITEC Foundation Mentor Program is underway!

We’re excited to kick off the 2026–2027 HITEC Foundation Mentor Program, bringing together our Scholars and mentors for a year of connection, learning, and professional growth.

Our first group session, “Launching the Relationship,” will give mentor-Scholar pairs the opportunity to move beyond introductions and begin building the foundation for a meaningful mentoring relationship. Together, they will explore expectations, goals, communication, and what success can look like throughout the year.

Throughout the program, monthly virtual group sessions will bring our entire mentor community together for shared learning, practical career development, and intentional relationship-building. Each session combines a featured topic or activity with dedicated mentor-scholar breakout time—giving pairs the opportunity to connect what they’re learning directly to the Scholar’s academic, career, and leadership goals.

This year’s learning journey will explore topics including career skills and AI, professional branding, leadership, networking, career readiness, the human side of AI, and the future of work.

We’re looking forward to seeing these relationships grow and watching our Scholars turn conversations into action. 💙

The impact of the HITEC Foundation Scholars Program extends far beyond financial support.

At the HITEC Santa Clara event, three of our 2026 HITEC Foundation Scholars had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a room filled with technology leaders, innovators, and mentors. Throughout the event, they gained valuable career insights, expanded their professional networks, and formed meaningful connections with one another that will provide additional support throughout their college experiences.

The scholars also had the privilege of meeting HITEC Foundation Board Members Marcelo De Santis and Patricia Rios, who shared advice, encouragement, and perspectives on leadership and career growth.

Creating opportunities for students to engage directly with accomplished professionals is a critical part of helping them build confidence, broaden their horizons, and envision future possibilities.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience memorable for our scholars. The future is bright.
