When our community needs us, we show up. đź’š
On July 25, BBBSChi Southland partnered with Sistahs Strong and the communities of Calumet City, Lansing, and Lynwood to support families impacted by recent severe weather.
With nearly 50 volunteers, we were able to provide more than 600 families with essential items, including cleaning and laundry supplies, toiletries and hygiene products, bath towels and linens, snacks, water and beverages, Bombas socks, and more.
But the need didn’t end on July 25. As severe weather continues to impact families across the Southland, additional relief efforts are already in motion to make sure our communities have the support and resources they need.
A special shoutout to Regional Director Brenda Boyd for helping make this powerful day of service possible, and to all of the volunteers and community partners who continue to step up when our neighbors need us most. đź’š
