Brown Line Church An inclusive, progressive church with a healthy sense of humor and humility — connect locally in Chicago or online from anywhere. Our guide is Jesus.

How might faith in Jesus and community help you grow? 10am CST Sundays online. Our vision is to be an inclusive, progressive church with a healthy sense of humor and humility — with a local arm of community in Chicago and an online arm of community made up of people from anywhere in the world. Many religious settings present “faith in Jesus” as an exclusive thing, over and against other religious or non-religious approaches to life, but our experience of Jesus is entirely different. From our perspective, connection with Jesus and spiritual growth shouldn’t make us more closed-off; they should make us more open! We embrace diversity of perspectives and religious backgrounds, we are committed to equity, justice, and anti-racism work, and we are LGBTQ-inclusive. How might faith in Jesus and community help you grow? Join us 10am CST Sundays online or at the Davis Theater in Chicago.

Now up on our podcast (link in bio) -- Values work is awesome! AND, unfortunately, values work sells well. So invitations into values work are everywhere in our culture: at work, at school, at church last week, in therapy, on the internet, every ad we see or hear. How do we distinguish the healthy invitations from the predatory ones? (Original photo from Jannet Serhan via Unsplash, edited) http://brownlinechurch.org/listen-to-teachings/260920
