What does the Constitution mean to you?
American Legion Tattler Post 973 is pleased to welcome Ways & Means Theatre for its production of Heidi Schreck’s acclaimed What the Constitution Means to Me, running October 1–25 at the Post, 4355 N. Western Ave. in Chicago.
There is a particularly fitting connection between this play and the American Legion. As a teenager, Heidi Schreck traveled the country participating in constitutional debate competitions held in American Legion halls, using her winnings to help pay for college. Years later, she returned to those experiences in this play, examining the Constitution, her own family history, and the ways our founding document has affected generations of Americans.
Now the play comes back to the kind of place where that story began, an American Legion hall.
The production is presented by Ways & Means Theatre and features a rotating cast.
Performances continue through October 25.
American Legion members, friends and supporters can save $10 on tickets with promo code LEGION10.
