Friendships often change during life transitions — new educational or career transitions, moving, parenthood, or simply growing into different versions of ourselves. Maintaining friendships during these times can feel difficult. Some friendships shift from daily conversations to occasional check-ins. Others require more intentionality. Healthy friendship maintenance isn’t about constant communication or perfect consistency. It’s about mutual care, honesty, and flexibility.

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month — an important reminder that vulnerability is not weakness. For many years, men have been taught to “push through,” stay silent, or hide what they’re feeling. But mental health challenges do not discriminate. Real strength can include asking for help, cultivating community, engaging in hobbies, and taking care of your physical health. Contact our education group (link in bio!) to discuss presentations that can foster conversations around mental health in your community.

To close the day at our conference, “Alone Together: Confronting Loneliness Across the Lifespan,” participants are invited to join one of our Community Connection Circles, a facilitated small-group conversation reflecting on themes from the conference. These informally facilitated theme-based circles offer space for dialogue, shared experience, and connection with others in the community.

Following our Community Connection Circles, all participants will have the opportunity to join us for a Connection Reception.
