🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Christmas in the Wards takes this time to honor the survivors, remember those we have lost, and stand beside every individual and family currently facing breast cancer.

Breast cancer touches more families than many of us realize. About 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer during her lifetime, and the American Cancer Society estimates more than 321,000 new cases will be diagnosed in women in 2026. (American Cancer Society⁠)

There is also hope. Early detection matters. Mammograms can help find breast cancer before symptoms appear, when it can be easier to treat. (CDC⁠)

This month is more than wearing pink. It is a reminder to encourage the people we love to prioritize their health, learn their family history, talk with their healthcare providers about screening, and support those walking through this journey.

To every survivor, fighter, caregiver, family member, and loved one: your strength inspires us, your story matters, and you are not alone. 💗

Together, we can spread awareness, encourage early detection, support one another, and continue building communities rooted in compassion and care.
