The 11th Annual Thirsty Ears Festival returns to Ravenswood for two days of music, community, food, drinks, and summer fun along Wilson Avenue!

Come experience classical music from every era performed outdoors on a beautiful tree-lined stretch of Wilson Ave.

Plus, there’s plenty happening beyond the stage:

Join us for the Ravenswood Neighborhood Association’s first-ever Neighborhood Block Party!

We’re taking over the block for an afternoon and evening of live music, bounce houses, water play, yard games, a kids’ bike parade, karaoke, food & drinks for purchase, and more!

A very special THANK YOU to our neighbors on the 4700 block of Wi******er for partnering with RNA and welcoming the entire Ravenswood community to our first-ever RNA block party.

RSVP IS HELPFUL — BUT NOT REQUIRED!

You’re welcome to simply show up and join the fun! RSVPs help us know how many neighbors to expect and allow us to share any weather-related or important event updates.

There’s absolutely no need to bring anything—your company is what matters most! But if you’d like to contribute to the festivities, we’d be grateful. Volunteer with RNA at Ravenswood ArtWalk September 12-13!

Thanks to the support of volunteers, RNA raised more than $500 at Ravenswood On Tap last month! This funding, supported by the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce volunteer grant program, will go directly back into the community supporting our events and programs.

With Ravenswood ArtWalk just a month away, we have another opportunity for neighbors looking to support the event AND raise funds for RNA! ArtWalk returns September 12-13 from 11am-6pm.

Volunteers are needed to help collect gate donations, sell drink tickets, and pour beer. Help is especially needed collecting gate donations -- please sign up for those shifts first!

When you register, list Ravenswood Neighbors Association (RNA) as the organization that you're volunteering on behalf of and we'll get funds to put back into the neighborhood. Volunteers will receive a RAW T-shirt, one drink ticket, an invitation to the Volunteer Orientation, and an invitation to an end of the year Volunteer Appreciation party.

Join our monthly Board Game Meetup tomorrow, Thursday, August 13 from 6:30pm-10pm at Northside Church of the Nazarene, 1900 W Leland.

Bring your own games or play one of ours! We play a wide range of tabletop games, from strategy to party games, one-shots, beginner to advanced, lightweight to heavyweight games, in small to large groups. Concessions are available for small donations to RNA.

FOOD DRIVE - STILL TIME TO DONATE!

Neighbors, there's still a couple more days to donate to our monthly food drive in support of Ravenswood Community Services!

This food drive specifically supports RCS' After School Pantry program, which provides food distribution at nearby schools during dismissal. Donations have been a bit lighter this summer, so let's help set up families nicely during Back-to-School month!

📢 20th District Community Meeting — Tonight

Neighbors are invited to attend the 20th District Council Monthly Public Meeting tonight.

📅 Monday, August 10

📍 Swedish Hospital – Anderson Pavilion

Come hear updates and share your thoughts about public safety and policing in our neighborhood.

Topics will include:

• Learn about Chicago’s police oversight and accountability from Tobara Richardson, Deputy Inspector General for Public Safety.

• Hear about the 2025 Public Safety Annual Report and the role of the Office of Inspector General.

• Share your opinion about Chicago’s next Police Superintendent. The city is currently searching for a new leader for the Chicago Police Department, and residents are invited to provide feedback.

• Bring your own questions, ideas, and concerns about public safety in the 20th District.

🗣️ Public comments are welcome. You can sign up to speak when you arrive at the meeting.

🧹 WE CAME. WE SAW. WE PICKED UP TRASH. ♻️

A HUGE thank you to all the neighbors and friends who joined the Ravenswood Neighbors Association for this morning’s Power Hour Cleanup!

Armed with gloves, bags, grabbers—and possibly a little caffeine ☕️—we hit the street and gave Ravenswood some TLC. Turns out, a lot can happen in ONE HOUR when neighbors come together.

To everyone who showed up, picked up, and helped clean up: THANK YOU! You made our little corner of Chicago cleaner, brighter, and even more beautiful.
