🏆 Meet your 2026 Great Chicago Bed Race winners! 🏆

🛏️ Race champions: Sleepy Time Tea Bears! Congratulations on pushing your way to victory!

🏒 Best decoration: Stew! Dressed as a hockey team, they turned their bed into a Zamboni and took home the decoration prize.

Thank you to every team that raced, fundraised, and dressed up for the cause. Together, you raised $8,412 to help furnish homes for families leaving homelessness.

That's a wrap on the 2nd Annual Great Chicago Bed Race! 🛏️🏁

We had surgeons, plumbers, and a whole lot of Bears fans pushing beds down Walnut Street today, and every one of them showed up for families leaving homelessness.

Thank you to our racers, volunteers, cheering section, and sponsors. Thank you to Midwest Coast Brewing for hosting us, and to everyone who donated from home. You turned a sunny Sunday into furnished homes for families across Chicago.

Winners announced tomorrow. 👀🏆

The Great Chicago Bed Race isn't just costumes and beds on wheels. It's a fundraiser that helps families leaving homelessness come home to a furnished space. None of it happens without the people and businesses who stepped up early and said "we're in."

The 2nd Annual Great Chicago Bed Race is happening Sunday, October 4, at Midwest Coast Brewing Company, and we're expanding the field to 20 teams.

Grab four coworkers, friends, or family members, pick a theme, and race twin XL mattresses down Walnut Street for a cause. Every team that signs up helps Chicago Furniture Bank furnish homes for Chicagoans transitioning out of homelessness. This year's goal: 4,004 homes furnished.

Teams of 5. $250 per team ($50 per person). CFB provides the beds; you bring the costumes. Registration closes September 20.
