The Simple Good provides art programming in under-served communities centered on providing positive self-realization and developing a skill set to enable and empower youth to make a difference in their communities for the better. Our youth benefit from the Simple Good program by developing their cognitive development skills, communication and interpersonal skills through engaging in the artistic process but also, build global awareness and a connection to external communities through an enriched understanding of humanity via our global crowd-sourced curriculum. The merriment of these two crucial pieces of the program, empower our youth to think about possibility, hope and change that they can individually can initiate in their communities to continue to bring understanding of the simple good in the world. Through this powerful curriculum, we hope to empower youth to make a positive change in their communities in effort for them to create a better environment for their communities as well as the world they will grow up in.

What a night. What a community. What a celebration of 15 Years of Good!

Our 13th Annual City of Big Dreams was one for the books, bringing together our largest attendance yet for an unforgettable evening of art, music, culture, and community, all in support of Chicago’s next generation of dreamers.

To every artist, performer, sponsor, partner, volunteer, and guest who made this night possible, THANK YOU. Your presence and generosity are a reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together for something greater.

But our work isn’t finished. We’re still working toward our $170,000 fundraising goal to continue providing free access to arts education, mentorship, and mindfulness-based programming for Chicago youth.

You can still be part of the impact. Donate today and help us reach our goal. Every contribution brings us closer to creating more opportunities for young people to dream bigger.

For 15 years, The Simple Good has believed that investing in young people means investing in the future of our communities.

Today, that work matters more than ever.

At a moment when young people need more support, the organizations serving them are being asked to do more with less. As public funding becomes more constrained and systems become more complex, community support can be the difference between a program continuing to reach young people or disappearing altogether.

The question is no longer whether young people need this work. We know they do.

The question is whether we will continue investing in the community organizations with the trust, relationships and experience to deliver it.

15 years of good is more than a milestone. It is proof of what is possible when a community chooses to show up, give back and believe in its young people.

Last night was a reminder of what becomes possible when a community comes together around something bigger than itself.

Thank you to every artist, performer, vendor, partner, sponsor, team member, volunteer, and every person who joined us for City of Big Dreams. Your time, talent, generosity, and belief in The Simple Good made this night possible.

We are incredibly close to reaching our fundraising goal, but we are not there yet. The work continues beyond the room, and every contribution helps us continue creating access to art, mindfulness, connection, and opportunity for young people across Chicago.

Follow our run of show and get ready for an evening celebrating 15 years of The Simple Good through music, art, community, and impact.

Tonight is the final night to purchase tickets. Ticket sales close at midnight.

Our Silent Auction is also live through tomorrow, October 1 at 9:30 PM. You do not have to be at the event to bid or make an impact. Join us virtually, find something you love, and support The Simple Good’s work with Chicago youth.
