Indigenous Peoples' Day honors the culture and history of Native people past, present, and future. Celebrate with us at the museum, and bring your friends and family to experience the diversity, vibrancy, and resilience of Indigenous cultures.

The Sweetest Season: A Gathering of Indigenous Creativity

Join this Saturday, August 15 for a full day celebrating Indigenous creativity and community at The Goodman, in partnership with the Gichigamiin Museum of Indigenous Nations.

The day will include hands on workshops, poetry, panel discussions, an Indigenous vendor fair, student art exhibits, and a special live radio play of The New Adventures of Super Indian.

Get ready for Back to School!

Join American Indian Health Service of Chicago and St. Kateri Center for a Back-to-School event on Friday, July 31 from 5–7 PM at the AIHS parking lot!

Native American students can register to receive a backpack filled with school supplies. There will also be games, face painting, school physicals, and opportunities to make sure kids are up to date on vaccines.

What an incredible two days. ✨

This week, CAICC brought together Native leaders, members, and community partners for our Strategic Planning Retreat. We spent time reflecting on where we are today, talking honestly about the challenges ahead, and imagining what we want to build together over the next few years.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared your ideas, asked thoughtful questions, and helped shape these conversations. Your time, perspectives, and commitment to this community made these two days incredibly meaningful.

We also took a moment to recognize Jasmine Gurneau and Andrew Johnson for everything they've given to CAICC over the years. Their time, leadership, and dedication have helped shape the organization into what it is today, and we're incredibly grateful for all they've done for our community. 🧡

We're leaving this retreat with a lot of energy, a clearer direction, and excitement for what's ahead. We can't wait to share more as this work continues.
