The Chicago Engineers' Foundation programming is three-fold and offers opportunities to students throughout the city of Chicago. The Outreach program brings engineering concepts to K-12 classrooms and youth-serving organizations, inspiring 1,500 students annually with an average of 50 scheduled visits. CEF volunteers visit high schools and elementary schools, nonprofit organizations, scholarship f
airs, and other STEM-related events across Chicago. The Incentive Award program offers merit-based scholarship awards to students who live, or are graduating from a high school, in the city of Chicago. Applicants can be attending a public, charter, or private high school. They must show acceptance to a 4-year accredited engineering program and complete an online application to be considered for a Rising College Freshman award. Incentive Awards are renewable over 4 years of college studies. Annually, the Incentive Award program provides up to $100,000 in financial awards to Chicago students. The Student Success career development program provides college students with tools including resume and interview skills workshops, mentoring, corporate tours, networking, and access to engineering internships nationwide. The programming is open to all award recipients as well as award alumni.
