Join Grace on Monday, October 19 for an informational Medicare seminar!

Open to all ages, this information session will help explain Medicare options and review the enrollment process. Caregivers or loved ones are encouraged to attend. This seminar is open to members and non-members.

This Is… Halloween!

Fiona and Fred, our candy monsters who lurk about the lobby each October, are back and ready for another year of candy collecting👻

They’re gearing up for our Halloween event, and they need YOU to help fill their candy stash.

We're excited to see the Irving Park community at our Halloween event on Friday October 30, 5-7pm for:
🎃Trick-or-treating around the Y (Bags provided!)
🎃Crafts and a slime station
🎃 Zombie dodgeball and a whole bunch of mini-games
🎃Spooky swim in our pool with inflatable ghosts👻

‼FREE for the community. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Keep an eye out for Fiona and Fred in the lobby and drop off your candy donations throughout October!

The 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon is next weekend — and we want you to join us in the YMCA Cheer Zone as we celebrate Team Y and all of the incredible runners participating this year! 🏃

We'll be in the Y's Jackson Blvd. parking lot, behind the Crown Family YMCA from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by for a little bit or stay the whole time, and join us for music, some snacks, and, most importantly, CHEERING on TEAM YMCA! 🎉

The Irving Park YMCA is proud to partner with over 20 local elementary schools to provide after school care. Yesterday was a special day participating in a literacy event. After school care counselors introduced new books and activities to our groups, and children took turns reading aloud to one another. Check it out!

Due to a local power outage, the Irving Park YMCA is closed for the rest of the day on 9/16. Power restoration is estimated for later this evening.

All Y members are encouraged to utilize their YMCA of Metro Chicago reciprocity benefit and visit another local hub! Visit our website at ymcachicago.org to view all locations.

We will see everyone tomorrow at 5:30am for reopening. If needed, additional updates will be provided via social media.
