✨ **Before & After: School Nº 1089 “Puerta del Monte”** 🏫❤️

What a transformation!

When we first learned about the conditions at School Nº 1089 in Santiago del Estero, there were serious issues that needed immediate attention: **ceilings with structural damage, moisture, leaks, and deteriorated walls and surfaces** that affected the school’s classrooms and common spaces.

Thanks to our donors, and the amazing team of who coordinated and carried out the work on the ground, we were able to help them

Today, the school has **repaired ceilings, improved protection against moisture and leaks, and renewed spaces** creating a safer, healthier, and more welcoming environment for the children and teachers who call this school home. ❤️

Today, September 21st, we celebrate Students’ Day in Argentina, a special day dedicated to the students who bring so much energy, curiosity, and joy to our schools.

At Argentina Chicago Foundation, we are especially thinking of the students in the rural communities we have the privilege of supporting. Every child deserves a safe place to learn, the materials they need, access to nutritious food and clean water, and the opportunity to dream about their future.

The smiles, energy, and enthusiasm of the children we meet remind us why this work matters so much. ❤️

We've been a little quiet here… but the work never stopped.

Over the past few months, Argentina Chicago Foundation has continued working alongside rural schools and communities in Argentina.

We've been fortunate to support projects that provide safer schools, access to clean water, food, educational materials, and much more.

Now, we're excited to start sharing those stories with you again.

Together with Fundación San Genaro we will be working on essential repairs at a rural school, including fixing damaged ceilings and replacing broken septic tank covers—serious safety hazards for students and teachers.

These are not just repairs. They are necessary steps to create a safe and dignified learning environment.

For the children who spend their days at school, these improvements make a real difference.

Today, we’re coming together to support Escuela Wolf Schcolnik, located in El Cóndor, Jujuy — a remote and isolated community where distance makes everyday life a challenge. Some of the students and teachers live at the school, making it not just a place of learning, but also their home.

Right now, their solar water heater is broken. This means no reliable access to hot water in a place where resources are already scarce.

Something as simple as warm water can make a world of difference — for hygiene, health, comfort, and dignity.

We want to change that.

Our goal is to provide a new solar water heater to ensure that these children and their teachers have safe, sustainable access to hot water every day.
