We regret to inform you of the untimely passing of our Bobbie Schweikert. Her obituary is below. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers. Kolping will not be the same.

Roberta “Bobbie” Schweikert

Long time resident of Edison Park, died on March 6, 2026, after a short illness. Born May 10, 1938. She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Helen Schweikert, brother Robert, sister Shirley and brother-in-law Walter Stuewe and is survived by nephew Scott (Cindy) Stuewe, grand nephews Michael and Peter (Nancy) Stuewe, cousins Carol (Alois) Ideler and June (Joseph) Bredestege.

Bobbie was a very giving person. She was very generous with her time and energy. She was happiest if she could help someone. Bobbie had a happy smile and cheery word for everyone.

She enjoyed Tuesday Bowling even when an injury to her hand prevented her from bowling. She collected the money for the team and cheered everyone on.

She became a valued member of the Catholic Kolping Society always ready to set up and serve at any function. She loved meeting people and chatting with them.

She was also a first class shopper helping her friends and neighbors get food and bargains. She took great care of the building in which she lived keeping it neat and orderly and managing problems.

She was a true friend to all she knew and the beloved “Tante” (Aunt) to her many honorary nieces and nephews.

It was her wish to have “no fuss” so the burial will be private.
