Jack update!
Hes gained back all his weight and is doing GREAT! He loves saying hi to EVERYBODY, cookies, being brushed for hours and soaking up love.
Dislikes? The goats and the dogs.
Rescue takes all forms. We are thankful to Laramie County Sheriff's Office for letting us take on and give this sweet boy a forever home. ❤️

Hay fundraiser update! We are sitting at $1550 as of 4/2!!!

This is the biggest request we've ever made as a rescue.
If you've been paying attention to the news, you know that the Western United States is in a dire drought. We have had the driest Winter since weather records have been gathered. While we have been so thankful for the rain and any moisture we have received, the following warm, relentless winds dries the ground out almost immediately.
What does this mean for us? Between fires, drought, and lack of rain fall, any hay produced this year will come at a high price, and there will be more demand than supply. This creates an eat or be eaten type of scenario where those with deep pockets will be able to buy a large quantity, and those of us who purchase hay month by month may be left, quite simply, without.
I am not taking this lightly--I am rejoining the work force to try and negate some of the extra cost associated with just about everything, and maintaining the standard of care we have established for the horses in our care.
How can you help? We are asking our community, followers and those who care about horses, have used any of our programs or services to like, share, spread the word, and if you're able to--donate.
We are hoping to bulk buy $6,000 worth of hay sooner rather than later. Our new barn allows us to easily store this, and buys us a lot of breathing room in what's to come--namely in a lack of moisture.
A bale of hay is $140--for the time being, and our horses eat 7 bales a month. Five dollars, forty dollars, 140, 6000......its all so meaningful right now.
We know we will weather this storm too, but are trying to be proactive in all respects.
