✈️ 🙌 This week, a special contingent representing two of our amazing teams—the Gillette Service Extension unit and the Cheyenne Corps—traveled to The Salvation Army USA National Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia! We are incredibly honored to receive National Awards of Excellence for our advisory boards and their transformative work in our Wyoming communities.

🇺🇸 While on this trip, we are also grateful for the opportunity to meet with our elected representatives in Washington, D.C.: Senator John Barrasso , Senator Cynthia Lummis, and Harriet Hageman. They have graciously agreed to meet with us to learn more about our local impact and the challenges we face in supporting our neighbors in need. 🤲

Here are a few snapshots from our visit to NHQ today. Enjoy! 📸✨

Summer camp season is one of our favorite times of year. ☀️🏕️

There is something special about watching young people step outside their comfort zones, make new friends, discover new talents, and create memories that last long after summer ends.

Whether it's trying something for the first time, sharing laughs around a campfire, or building confidence through new experiences, camp has a way of making a lasting impact.

What's your favorite summer camp memory? Share it in the comments below! ⬇️

Sometimes the greatest gifts aren't measured in dollars, but in compassion, encouragement, and time spent caring for others. This Sunday, may we look for opportunities to refresh the hearts of those around us. When we share God's love through acts of kindness, we often discover that our own hearts are renewed as well.

"A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." — Proverbs 11:25 ❤️

🍩 Over 2,000 donuts delivered across the Cowboy State! 🤠

Last Friday, our amazing staff and volunteers spent National Donut Day sprinkling some sweetness throughout Wyoming. We visited first responders, military members, and donors just to say thank you for everything you do! 🙌

❓ Fun History: Did you know National Donut Day started with The Salvation Army? During WWI, our "Donut Lassies" went to the frontlines to fry up treats for weary soldiers and lift their spirits. The tradition stuck, and the first Friday in June became a national day to honor their service.

Next time you grab a donut, remember you're biting into a piece of history!
♥️🍩🙏

Here are some pics of our deliveries in Cheyenne!

National Donut Day is almost here! 🍩 This year, on June 5, we’ll celebrate Donut Day across the nation.

Donut Day was created to honor the Salvation Army’s “Donut Lassies,” who served fresh donuts and support to soldiers during World War I.

Feeling inspired? Here’s the original WWI-style donut recipe to try for yourself:

Yield: approximately 12 donuts

Ingredients:
• 1 large egg
• 1 cup flour
• ½ cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• pinch of salt
• ⅓ cup milk
• oil for frying

Directions:

Combine all ingredients (except the oil) to make the dough.
Thoroughly knead the dough, roll smooth, and cut into rings less than 1/4 inch thick. (Get creative—Salvation Army Donut Lassies used whatever they could find, from baking powder cans to coffee percolator tubes!)
Drop the rings into hot oil, turning slowly several times until golden brown.
Remove the donuts and allow excess oil to drip off.
Dust with powdered sugar, let cool, and enjoy!

If you give this historic recipe a try, tag us in your post—we’d love to see your creations! 🍩

A Sunday reminder to stay rooted in what matters most. ❤️

In a world constantly telling us what to chase, Romans 12:2 calls us to something different—to be transformed by faith, renewed in mind, and grounded in God’s truth.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” — Romans 12:2

This Memorial Day weekend, as many pause to reflect, we’re reminded to trust God with both our purpose and our path ahead.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3

Wishing you a meaningful and restful weekend.
