Wyoming Girls State The American Legion Auxiliary Wyoming Girls State program is a week-long session of learning about our government - on the city, county, and state levels.

It is practical application of Americanism and good citizenship. It was developed from the idea that our youth should be offered a better perspective of the practical operation of our government, and that the individual, being an integral part of the government, is ultimately responsible for the character and success of the government. Christensen walks the halls her great-grandfather once walked

Callie Christensen carries a piece of Wyoming history with her — and now, she’s adding to it.
The Newcastle High School senior was recently selected as one of four students statewide to serve as a Senate page for the Wyoming Legislature, a weeklong program that offers students a behind-the-scenes look at state government. For Christensen, the experience was more than an academic opportunity — it was a personal milestone tied to her family’s legacy.
