As a new school year begins, we're reminded that the opportunities we create today help shape the community we'll share tomorrow.

Through scholarships, educational grants, and the generosity of donors, Chelsea Community Foundation is proud to support students as they pursue their goals and reach their potential.

As former Chelsea School Board President, and current CCF Advisory Committee Member, Anne Mann shared:

"Education is one of the greatest gifts a community can give its young people. When we invest in students, we're not just helping them succeed in school; we're preparing future leaders, neighbors, business owners, volunteers, and citizens who will shape Chelsea for years to come. Education happens everywhere.

Through recent grants, Chelsea Community Foundation continues investing in experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning. This year's Youth & Education grants include:

Chelsea School District's Bulldog Life Lab, providing students with hands-on STEM learning experiences that encourage exploration and innovation.

City of Chelsea STEM Learning at Veterans Park and Pierce Park, transforming outdoor spaces into places where children and families can discover science through play and nature.

These projects demonstrate that learning doesn't stop when the school bell rings, it continues in parks, neighborhoods, and throughout our community. Together with grants across Arts & Culture, Health, Wellness & Aging, and Trails, Parks & Transportation, these investments help create a stronger Chelsea for everyone.

Our community will celebrate the official ribbon cutting and block party for Holmes Family Park, a remarkable transformation of a former industrial site into a vibrant gathering place for residents of all ages.

Chelsea Community Foundation is proud to have supported this visionary project through grant funding, helping create a space that will encourage recreation, connection, learning, and wellness for generations to come.

Holmes Family Park is a wonderful example of what happens when a community comes together with a shared vision for the future.

Today, we honor the courageous men and women who were wounded or made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their bravery, resilience, and selfless dedication have helped protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Here in Chelsea, we're grateful for organizations like Herbert J. McKune Post No. 31 American Legion, whose members continue to serve our community long after their military service has ended. Earlier this year, Chelsea Community Foundation was proud to support the American Legion through a community grant that will improve accessibility, helping ensure their historic building remains welcoming to veterans and visitors alike.

On this National Purple Heart Day, we pause to remember the sacrifices of Purple Heart recipients and express our deepest gratitude to all who have served.

💃 Ballet Chelsea is creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities to experience the joy of dance, thanks in part to a grant from ! 🎉 Funding will support the Adaptive Dance Program, providing inclusive movement classes for individuals with physical, developmental, cognitive, and neurological challenges while fostering confidence, creativity, and community.
