A cohort from Saint Catherine’s attended the 30th Annual Pilgrimage for the Feast of Jonathan Daniels in Hayneville, AL!

Today is also the Feast of Saint Mary the Virgin, so how appropriate to come together and celebrate the life, mourn the death, and work to imitate the witness of a man who was moved by her words of prayer and praise, “My soul magnifies the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God, my savior… he has cast down the mighty from their seats and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.” In imitation of Christ the son of Mary, may we follow Jonathan’s example of self-sacrificial love and counter hatred and oppression in all its forms with the love that sustains the universe.

Something historic is happening. We've partnered with Clements Dean to build a new nave, the first new construction in the The Episcopal Church in Alabama in over 20 years. Grateful to everyone who prayed, gave, and worked to get us here. God's Kingdom is growing.

TODAY'S THE DAY!! Please join us at 2:00, along with Bishop Glenda Curry, at 642 Kings Home Drive in Chelsea for the liturgical groundbreaking on our new nave! Reception to follow!

We're thrilled to announce we've rescheduled the Liturgical Groundbreaking on our new nave for June 14 at 2 pm! Please come and join us as we "ascend the hill of the Lord" and "stand in his holy place" (Ps. 24:3) together as we prayerfully begin this new chapter in our life together! Bishop Glenda Curry will be presiding, and a small reception will follow in the parish hall.
