Chelsea COP

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Chelsea hosted a series of events that showcased the city to thousands of visitors from across the nation. The Citizen Observer Program (COP) provided valuable assistance at all the events. The day featured Chelsea’s Farmer’s Market at City Hall, Havenly Smiles’ “Hellujah Hustle” 5K at Chelsea Church of God, and the Alabama State Games at Chelsea High School and Chelsea Sports Complex.

The (COP's) convened for their monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 26, at the Chelsea Community Center, with 19 members in attendance. The meeting commenced with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. In the absence of a scheduled speaker, the majority of the discussion centered on the upcoming Chelsea Fest and Big Kaboom event scheduled for Saturday, June 27, at the new venue located on the grounds adjacent to Metro Storage and Truck Rental on Highway 280 East of Chelsea Park.

COPs had their monthly meeting Tuesday April 28 at the Chelsea Community Center. There were 20 members in attendance. We opened with a prayer and the pledge of allegiance. We had one candidates running for office Ben Fuller District Judge. And Brandy Pate with the information about the Big KaBoom.
