Currently, most expenses are paid out of pocket with minimal donations. We will continue to fight till they all have homes!

🐾❤️ TWO EVENTS. ONE AMAZING TEAM. ❤️🐾

This weekend, Love Hope and Paws was in TWO places at once! 🐶🙌

🛁 Our Nail Trim Fundraiser
🛍️ Our Vendor Market at Hargis

Both events happened simultaneously, and we truly could not have pulled it off without our incredible volunteers!

From packing the truck and bathing dogs to signing people in, talking to potential adopters about our pups, and making sure everything ran smoothly, our volunteers showed up and got it DONE! 💪❤️

Rescue takes a village, and this weekend was the perfect reminder of just how much that village matters. Every helping hand, every hour given, and every conversation about our dogs makes a difference.

To every volunteer who gave their time and energy this weekend: THANK YOU! 🥹🐾 You helped make two events possible, and our rescue is better because of you.

🐾 WHY WE RESCUE 🐾

We rescue because sometimes, a dog’s entire life can change because one person decided they were worth saving.

We rescue the scared ones who don’t know what kindness feels like yet.

We rescue the dogs who have been overlooked, forgotten, abandoned, or given up on.

We rescue the ones who need a little extra patience before they’re ready to trust.

We rescue the goofy ones who make us laugh until our sides hurt.
The sweet ones who just want someone to love.
The broken ones who need time to heal.
The dogs who have spent far too long waiting for someone to choose them.

And sometimes, we rescue because we know that without someone stepping forward, there may not be anyone else coming.

Rescue isn’t always easy. It can be exhausting, heartbreaking, frustrating, and overwhelming.

But then you see a dog who once cowered in fear confidently wagging their tail.

You see a dog discover a toy for the first time.

You see them learn that hands can be gentle.

You watch them walk out the door with their forever family.

And suddenly, every hard day makes a little more sense.

That is why we rescue. ❤️

Because every dog deserves the chance to learn that their past does not have to determine their future.

And because somewhere out there is a dog who is still waiting for someone to say:

“You’re worth it. I’ve got you.” 🐶🐾

🐾 FRIDAY FAVORITE: AL! 🐾

If you need a little extra laughter in your life, may we introduce you to Al. 😂❤️

Al is goofy, energetic, and absolutely determined to keep everyone entertained. This boy has two brain cells fighting for third place, and honestly… we wouldn’t have him any other way. 🤣

He has a whole selection of toys available to him, but does he choose one of those?

Of course not.

Give Al a giant rock and suddenly he has found the greatest toy in the entire world. 🪨😂

He’s the kind of dog who can turn the most ordinary moment into something that makes you stop, laugh, and shake your head.

Al is silly. Al is lovable. Al is FULL of personality. And we think he deserves a forever family who will appreciate every single goofy little thing about him. 🥹❤️

Al is our Friday Favorite — and we have a feeling he could be your favorite, too. 🐶💙

⛈️🐾 STORM’S COMING! IS YOUR PET PREPARED? 🐾⛈️

With storms headed our way, now is the time to make sure your four-legged family members are safe and ready! ❤️

At Love Hope and Paws Dog Rescue, we want to remind everyone that storm preparation includes our pets, too! 🐶🐱

🐾 HERE’S HOW TO PREPARE YOUR PET:

🌪️ Bring pets indoors! Even pets who normally stay outside need a safe place inside during severe weather.

🏷️ Check identification. Make sure your pet wears a collar with current ID tags, and verify that their microchip information is up to date. Scared pets can bolt when storms frighten them!

🦴 Build a pet emergency kit. Include several days of food and water, medications, bowls, a leash, waste bags, cleaning supplies, and copies of veterinary records.

🏠 Create a safe space. Set up a quiet area away from windows with familiar blankets and favorite toys to help your pet feel secure.

💊 Plan for anxiety. If your pet struggles with storms, talk with your veterinarian about safe ways to manage their fear.

🚗 Know your evacuation plan. Identify pet-friendly places to go if you need to leave home. Never leave your pets behind during an evacuation!

🐕 Secure leashes and carriers. Frightened pets may run unexpectedly. Keep dogs leashed and cats secured in carriers when moving them.

📸 Keep a recent photo handy. If you become separated, a current photo can help others identify your pet.

❤️ Check on your neighbors! If someone needs help getting their pets safely indoors, offer a hand if you can do so safely.

⚠️ Never leave pets outside during dangerous weather, and never put yourself in danger to retrieve an animal during an active severe-weather emergency.

Our pets depend on us to keep them safe. A little preparation now can make a BIG difference when the weather turns rough! 🐾💕

🐾 MEET ME MONDAY: AL! 🐾

Everyone, meet Al! ❤️

Al is goofy. Al is energetic. Al is guaranteed to make you laugh.

And apparently, Al’s two brain cells are fighting for 3rd place. 😂

Case in point: this boy has MILLIONS of actual toys available to him… and what does he choose?

A GIANT ROCK. 🪨😂

Because obviously.

Al is pure entertainment. He’s got endless energy, a huge personality, and just enough questionable decision-making to keep you laughing all day long.

He’s the kind of dog who will make you smile simply by existing. ❤️

Al deserves a family who will appreciate his goofy antics, keep up with his energy, and love every wonderfully ridiculous part of him.

Why We Rescue. 🐾❤️

Sometimes rescue looks like a dramatic save.

Sometimes it looks like a dog finally getting medical care.

Sometimes it’s a scared dog learning that a gentle hand doesn’t have to hurt.

Sometimes it’s watching a dog who once knew uncertainty curl up on a couch and realize they’re finally home.

And sometimes, it’s simply saying, “You’re safe now. We’ve got you.”

That’s why we rescue.

Because every dog deserves more than survival. They deserve a soft place to land, someone who believes in them, and the chance to experience the life they should have had all along.

We can’t save every dog.

But for the ones we can help, we will. ❤️🐶

That’s why we rescue.

We have some VERY exciting news to share! 🥰🐶

A huge thank-you to Pitty Clothing Company for donating adorable puppy PJs to Love Hope and Paws Dog Rescue! 🩷 Our pups are going to be cozy, cute, and ready for bedtime. 💤🐾

But that’s not all… 👀

We’ll be teaming up with The Pitty Clothing Company for an exciting event coming up in October! 🎉

Here’s the really cool part: for every dog clothing item purchased during the event, Love Hope and Paws will receive a piece of clothing, too! 🥹❤️
