Beds for Kids is scheduled to furnish the living spaces of 30 families next week. On average, it costs $1,000 to serve each family, from providing the furniture they need to creating a space that finally feels like their own.

That means $30,000 could help us furnish all 30 homes.

A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account that lets you set aside money for causes you care about. If you have one, you can recommend a grant to Beds for Kids today and help furnish a home for a Charlotte family. “DAF Day CLT” is a movement bringing local nonprofits and donors together Oct. 5-9 to encourage DAF holders to recommend grants to important local causes.

Furnishing Futures ✨🏠

So much goes into a delivery.
1. Receive donations from our community (that’s you 😉)
2. Build, clean, and pull furniture for scheduled delivery. We build our bed frames and cribs ahead of time for efficiency and volunteers build safety rails for bunk beds. We make sure that every piece of furniture on a delivery is clean, good quality, and will last 🙌🏼
3. Pack the truck, gather the volunteers and deliver to the client family 🛋️ Seeing the smiles and tears from happiness is our “why” 💙💚

🌟 Delivery Push Week 2026 🌟

Once a year, we schedule double the amount of deliveries we normally do. Everyone from the team works on the warehouse, lots of volunteers help us, and it’s a quick way to catchup to our waitlist. It was a full but fun week of working together and serving our community 😊🏠💪🏽

Wells Fargo Table Build 2026!! 🛠️🏠

Thank you to our Wells Fargo volunteers who helped us for 3 days this week building tables, chairs and cribs. These items are some of our most requested furniture pieces and will be going out in the coming days and weeks.

Behind the scenes… 🪑🛏️

Our team carefully works to make sure every piece of furniture is put into inventory, cleaned, stocked and ready to be pulled for delivery. We organize our racks, fix minor repairs, and keep our loading zone clear for our trucks (and drop-offs 🤩).
