Happy Friday Everyone!!
This is Lyndsey Finch, StreetHeart Neighborhood Coordinator with you.

I want to let you know that I will be at the community garden tomorrow, Saturday August 15th, at noon!

If anyone has questions and/or want help identifying and harvesting, please stop by! I will have harvesting equipment with me at the garden tomorrow for you to take some fresh vegatables and herbs home with you.

Please reach out to me if you would like to schedule a different time and/or date to meet!

Purple basil and sweet basil are both ready to be harvested. Caprese salad anyone?! Parsley, lettuce, lemongrass, and chives are also ready to be picked and taken to your home!

Help us build a better resource for our region! Micapitalcares.org is a new local directory designed to help tri-county residents find essential health and human services more easily.

We’re hosting a 20-30 minute virtual feedback session to test out the site before it launches fully. Your feedback will make sure the site is the best it can be for everyone in our community.

StreetHeart Garden Party was so much fun!! Thank you to everyone who participated, and I hope you had a great time! A special thank you to Paige and Alesha for volunteering time to speak about what to do once you've grown herbs and why Michigan soil is so great to grow in! And a special thank you to Rusty Buckles for serenading us at the end with your live music performance, including yodeling!!

StreetHeart and Galewood Early Elementary School partnered together for a May Day Celebration!

The Kindergarteners paraded through the StreetHeart Neighborhood with their artful umbrellas, and stopped to create flower art with our Block Leaders!

We are always so inspired by the kids and how they work together to bring so much color and joy to our Neighborhood!

Huge thank you to the teachers, the volunteers, the Block Leaders, and all the parents who made today so much fun!!

A beautiful day to walk through the Neighborhood and get to know some of our neighbors!

Big thanks to our Block Leaders for hosting the fun, and to Lawrence Avenue Methodist Church for letting us use their property!
