Once again thank you to everyone for a great season. This past Saturday the 3/4 and 5/6th grade championships were held at Wildcat Stadium. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the local athletes as we had three of our own teams playing, and a big shout out to the East Jordan Red Devils for making it to the 3/4 championship and playing a great game.

Thank you to Coach Bill Schroeder and his wife Chrissy for helping throughout the day, Coach Scott Mclintic for his help managing the day and trophy ceremonies, AHS Football players Mcgregor Mclintic, Drew Meyer, Carter Wirgau, and Reid Hanson for manning the chain gang. As always Doc Z for doing an amazing job announcing the games. Shout out to Coach Chelsea and our Jets Cheerleaders for doing a great job on the sidelines. The Boosters Club for always keeping the crowd and players well fed. And our biggest fan Maddox Mclintic for singing the national anthem.

April 2027- Registration for cheer,tackle, and Flag will open. Coaching Applications open
April 15,2027 - all tackle and cheer participants for next season will need new physicals dated after this. Get them scheduled and done anytime after that date, sooner the better.
First week of August - practice begins

As the 2026 season comes to an end, I want to thank the cheerleaders and coaches for a great season this year!

When I took over this program in late 2020, there was no cheerleading program. I’m thankful for those board members who gave me a chance to rebuild this program. In 2021, we didn’t know if we’d have a season because of Covid but I had 4 girls then who were hoping and ready to be there. Ultimately we didn’t get started again until 2022, and it’s been a rebuilding and rebranding process since. We’re well established, and ready to keep going. 💪

I couldn’t be more thankful for the girls who showed up throughout the years, the coaches, the good weather we’ve had (most games), and the support we have had not just for the cheerleaders, but the entire program.

Thank you for this season, and I’m looking forward to many more! 🤍💚 🏈

Thank you Coach Katie and Coach Taryn for being here as much as life allows during this busy season!

FLAG
This Sunday is our last Game Day of the season! Thank you to all the players, parents and coaches who made this first season so fun and exciting for the kids. Big Thank you to our volunteer Refs this year, Coach Scott McClintic, Varsity and JV players MacGregor McClintic, Jacob Swires, Drew Meyer, and Carter Wirgau, and Maizey Wirgau (Girls Middle School player).

We look forward to the program growing next season. Registration for next falls Tackle and Flag will open around April 2026, after Little League Registration closes. Thanks everyone!

PS, there is rumor the Booster Club may have the concession stand open this Sunday. (not sure though)

Exciting times this Week!
Last saturday three of our Tackle teams won their playoff game and are moving on.
Tomorrow October 10th in Tawas
Alpena 3/4 B plays Cheboygan at 12p
Alpena 5/6 A plays Sault St Marie B at 2pm
winners move on to the Championship games
After their win last week Alpena 5/6 B drew the bye and automatically advance to next Saturdays Championship.

October 17th (in ALPENA!!!!!!!!!!)
3/4 championship at 2pm
5/6 championship at 4pm
