🚨Encore Boston Harbor Workers Set 7 A.M. Friday Strike Deadline 🚨
Tonight, Teamsters Local 25 and Unite Here Local 26 workers held a practice picket after announcing that they will strike Friday morning if no contract.

The 1,350 workers voted overwhelmingly to strike on August 20.
 
Teamsters Local 25 represents 211 workers in the warehouse, horticulture, call center, cage cashiers, lime drivers, dispatchers, traffic attendants, valet and guest experience attendants. They are crucial to Encore’s operations as a five-star resort.
 
Teamsters Local 25 and UNITE HERE Local 26, were forced on strike after the company refused to bargain in good faith towards a new contract.
 
The workers are demanding a contract thar delivers better wages, stronger benefits, and enhanced protections on the job.

ENCORE BOSTON HARBOR TEAMSTERS OVERWHELMINGLY AUTHORIZE STRIKE

Over 1,300 workers at Encore Boston Harbor, represented by Teamsters Local 25 and UNITE HERE Local 26, have voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike.

Local 25 represents 211 workers in the warehouse, horticulture, and floral departments, as well as workers in the call center, cage cashiers, limo drivers and dispatchers, traffic attendants, valet and guest experience attendants at Encore.

“We’re proud of what we built at Encore, and we take pride in the work we do every day,” said Sem Avdic, a warehouse worker and member of Local 25. “We work hard to make this company successful, and we believe we deserve a fair contract that allows us to provide for our families. Nobody wants to strike. But nobody is going to keep making Wynn rich while our own families fall behind.”

ANOTHER MAJOR LABOR ENDORSEMENT.

We’re excited to share that Teamsters Boston (Local 25), one of the region’s largest labor unions representing more than 13,000 workers across Massachusetts, has endorsed David for Middlesex District Attorney.
