Teamsters Joint Council 10

Teamsters Joint Council 10 Be one of them, regardless of your opinion.

• Fake Profiles Will Be Removed - Real profiles create conversation. Fake profiles provoke and destroy.

Teamsters Joint Council 10 represents more than 53,000 Teamsters in 19 locals throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and Maine. GUIDELINES
• Lead by example - Nothing improves a Facebook group more than posters who reason sharply, write thoughtfully, and have some perspective about it all. Be brave and civil enough to express your opinions. If you're hiding beh

ind a fake profile and throwing bombs, you don’t get to be on this page.

• We are here to form a strong union. It is OK to disagree, but let’s do it in a way that builds unity.

• Keep the conversation to the issue in the original post. Hijacking posts for non-related rants will not be tolerated.

• Don't violate privacy - Don't reveal online another poster's phone number, address, or other information that the person hasn't already made public

• Don't represent yourself as another person, create or use another screen name, misrepresent the group or your role in it.

• ALL CAPS are the is the equivalent of yelling at a co-worker.

• Don’t use swear words. Facebook automatically hides the swears so your comment won’t appear publicly. Occasionally, we will unhide comments with swear words if it is being used for emphasis, but if you are using swears at people in a nasty way, it will remain hidden. The best policy is to write with our cursing. We can get our points across without being profane.

CT TEAMSTERS ENDORSE NED LAMONT FOR GOVERNOR

On Friday, CT Teamsters announced their endorsement of Governor Ned Lamont for re-election.

“This administration has stepped up time and time again to support labor,” said Rocco Calo, Teamsters Local 1150 Principal Officer & IBT Executive Vice President. “They are here. They don’t just talk to talk; they walk the walk. They got our back. Governor, we are proud on behalf of the five locals here to endorse you for your next term.”

The Teamsters were joined by CT Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz and Gov. Ned Lamont at Local 443's Union Hall.

"This support means everything to me because it comes from the people who keep Connecticut moving every single day — the workers who build our roads and bridges, move goods through our state, keep our communities running, and power our economy.
And our coalition continues to grow," Lamont said.

OCEAN STATE OIL / RELADYNE WORKERS VOTE TEAMSTER YES!

Workers at the North Kingstown RI affiliate of RelaDyne (Ocean State Oil) recently voted to become members of Teamsters Local 251. The workers distribute lubricant and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) for automotive, commercial, and industrial customers. The 33 member bargaining unit consists of drivers, warehouse workers, maintenance techs, equipment supervisors, dispatch coordinators and inventory control specialists. The group has seen what Teamsters doing similar work have gained through collective bargaining, and wanted to flex their worker power. They will set forth to bargain their first contract with the collective strength of the Teamster membership behind them.

Always remember 🙏

Tommorrow May 9th, we remember the lives of those that were lost in the crash on May 9th, 1996 on the flight field at Sikorsky in Stratford.
The crew, our bothers, friends, and co-workers, consisted of

Dave Kish, former Marine Corps Ch-53 pilot, Navy H-2 pilot and USAF Reserve H-60 pilot, who joined sikorsky in 1989, was the pilot.

Yong Lee, former Marine and Navy H-53 pilot for 12 years, who joined sikorsky in 1993, was the co-pilot.

Lenny Kuderna, Navy veteran who served two tours of duty and joined Sikorsky in 1979, was the crew chief on the aircraft.

Tom Payne, a longtime sikorsky employee who started with the company in 1967, was the electronics flight systems technician.

We remember them everyday that we walk through the doors. Their sacarfice will never be forgotten.

"More than 50 Teamsters from across New England participated in a National Pipeline Industry Training at the Teamsters Local 25 Training Center in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, US, last week, taking part in a programme focused on education, career advancement, and expanding opportunities in the pipeline industry.

The training featured presentations from leadership across multiple Teamsters divisions, offering attendees valuable insight into the thriving pipeline sector.

“Pipeline Teamsters have some of the most secure careers in the industry because of efforts like the National Pipeline Industry Training programme,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien. “Pipeline training is key to earning better paychecks, stronger retirement security, and more opportunities for year-round work. When our members succeed, their families are more secure and our communities are stronger — and that’s exactly what this union is fighting.”

The programme was led by the Teamsters Pipeline Division and highlighted work opportunities in the industry, along with information on benefits, pay scales, and career pathways for Pipeline Teamsters. The seminar also provided an opportunity for members from across the region to connect, share experiences, and build relationships.

“This programme is about creating as many opportunities for Teamsters to earn a living and support their families as possible,” said Tom Mari, President of Local 25 and Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Joint Council 10 New England. “For our members in seasonal industries or those facing temporary slowdowns, pipeline work is a reliable way to generate income year-round. Pipeline Teamsters must be kept safe and compensated fairly for the dangerous and vital work they do.”

The New England Teamsters National Pipeline Industry Training reflects the union’s ongoing commitment to workforce development and ensuring members succeed in evolving industries."
