Knowing your strengths and needs is an important step toward building meaningful employment goals.

This RAISE worksheet helps youth think about what they are proud of, where they may need support, what they want to keep practicing, and how teachers, families, and youth themselves can work together to plan for future success at school, at home, and on the job.

On Sunday, June 28, the Fundación Cambiando el Mundo de Personas con Discapacidades celebrated the graduation of approximately 140 participants who successfully completed its IEP, Leadership, and Advocacy classes.

The Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN) was honored to participate in this special event alongside community partners, including the Institute of Dominicans Abroad (INDEX), the Dominican Consulate, City of Lawrence officials, representatives from the Massachusetts State House, the Arc of Massachusetts, DDS, and the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council.

This celebration highlighted FCSN's ongoing commitment to supporting, educating, and empowering Latino families of children with disabilities through collaboration and community engagement.

👋 Meet Ewidji!

Ewidji is a member of FCSN's Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and is passionate about advocacy, leadership, and creating opportunities for others. He hopes to one day work in public service and use his voice to advocate for people with disabilities, immigrant communities, and others who need someone in their corner.

This summer, Ewidji will be sharing his favorite free events and activities happening across Massachusetts as part of our Summer Chronicles series, helping families and young adults discover new opportunities in their communities.

When asked what advice he would give others, Ewidji shared:

💙 "Before you reach your destination, you're going to hit bumps along the way—but don't give up."

We're excited to spotlight Ewidji and the incredible work of our Youth Advisory Board this summer!
