Diane Mott, Anjelica Lopez (former presidents)and Tim Mott (cellar master) attended Chris Faulk’s Memorial Service today in West Ashley. As a longtime member, Chris served as VP for a year during Covid and as president for two years after the pandemic. He was a loving family man and a joyful, creative, inspiring home brewer, meadmaker, cook and pickle creator. Thank you to our members who went to his Celebration of Life party on Saturday despite the windy, frigid outdoor temperatures. His father Bruce asked about Chris’s beer club so I brought him over to meet our crew. He said that Chris really enjoyed Lowcountry Libations and he was touched by the turnout of members to include current president Bob Heck, treasurer Sean Murphy and several other longtime members. We showed up for his family and he was impressed. I cherish this club and our caring members.

Our Silent Auction and Raffle is happening tomorrow! Help us raise money for one of our friend and team member Ryan’s dad, Eddie, who is battling cancer.

Who's in?

Attention, Homebrewers! It’s time to get creative! Our homebrew competition, Adjunction Function, is back on October 18 at Frothy Beard Off World in Summerville!

You may submit any style of beer and as many as you’d like, but they each need to include at least one adjunct (fruit, vegetables, candy, etc.). All entries must be submitted with at least four 12 oz bottles, and delivered to either Frothy location by September 30th.

This is a non BJCP certified event. However, we are using the same criteria and form.

Beers will be judged by the brewers at Frothy Beard with consideration of the following:
- Do the adjuncts come through in the finished product?
- Does the flavor profile remain balanced?
- Does the beer still fit with and represent the style well?
Prize: The winner will be invited to Frothy Beard Brewing Company in West Ashley to BREW their winning beer on our 10bbl system! The winner will receive $100 in house cash and a custom trophy.
