Lowcountry Libations Lowcountry Libations is a home brew club in the Charleston area of South Carolina, USA. As a non-profit we fundraise for and donate to Camp Happy Days.

Lowcountry Libations (LCL) is a group of men and women dedicated to homebrewing in the greater Charleston area. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit committed to promoting the hobby and beer evaluation through monthly meetings and special events. Monthly meetings are meant as a forum for members to taste and discuss brews. Special events include our competitions, group brew days, national events, and Charl

eston Beer Week. Guests are always welcome, Cheers! LCL also promotes involvement in the national Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) and is committed to sponsoring beer judge study groups and qualifying exams. We are a member club of the Southeastern Homebrew Association as well as the American Homebrew Association. Each year we fundraise for our charity, Camp Happy Days, whose mission is to provide cost-free, year-round programs to children with cancer and their families. Summer Camp is their signature program; they have served over 1,500 kids across South Carolina.

Diane Mott, Anjelica Lopez (former presidents)and Tim Mott (cellar master) attended Chris Faulk’s Memorial Service today in West Ashley. As a longtime member, Chris served as VP for a year during Covid and as president for two years after the pandemic. He was a loving family man and a joyful, creative, inspiring home brewer, meadmaker, cook and pickle creator. Thank you to our members who went to his Celebration of Life party on Saturday despite the windy, frigid outdoor temperatures. His father Bruce asked about Chris’s beer club so I brought him over to meet our crew. He said that Chris really enjoyed Lowcountry Libations and he was touched by the turnout of members to include current president Bob Heck, treasurer Sean Murphy and several other longtime members. We showed up for his family and he was impressed. I cherish this club and our caring members.
